Gold Avalanche

Sweet ice with a luscious bite. Watch out for brain freeze.



Ingredients:

Ginger juice
Ginger Vodka
Apple juice
Candied ginger slice

You can use store bought apple juice but, I highly recommend using a home juicer and golden delicious apples. Measure 1 cup apple juice, 3 tablespoons ginger vodka and 2 teaspoons ginger juice. Bottled ginger juice can be used or you can press your own juice as I did (the instructions can be found in my recipe for Kick Ass Hot Chocolate in January). Place all ingredients in an ice cream machine and churn for 10 minutes OR place all ingredients in a 10oz plastic cup and place in refrigerator for at least 4 hours. The mixture from the machine can be scooped directly into serving glass. If you used a plastic cup, leave  at room temperature for 5 minutes then pick and stir with fork until slushy, then scoop into serving glass. Garnish with a candied ginger slice.
